Maro is a technology platform and patient experience brand. Independent licensed healthcare providers make their own clinical decisions, and licensed pharmacies handle dispensing and shipment where applicable. State-specific rights, notices, and consent requirements may vary.
Our services
Maro operates a technology platform and consumer experience layer that may help connect users with independent licensed healthcare providers and licensed pharmacies. Maro itself does not practice medicine, provide medical advice, or make prescribing decisions.
Any treatment decision, including whether to issue a prescription or modify a treatment plan, is made by an independent licensed provider using their own professional judgment.
Maro Rx LLC operates the Maro brand and websites. Clinical services are provided by independent, licensed healthcare professionals affiliated with Beluga Health, P.A., a professional medical entity, and the underlying telehealth platform technology is provided by Bask Health. Your use of the service is also subject to the applicable policies of these providers.
Eligibility and account responsibilities
You must be at least 18 years old, located in a jurisdiction where the relevant service is available, and able to enter into a binding agreement to use the platform. You agree to provide truthful, current, and complete information and to keep your account credentials secure.
Medical limitations and no guarantee of treatment
Using the website or completing intake forms does not guarantee treatment, a prescription, refill approval, or a specific medication. Treatment may be declined or delayed if a provider determines it is not clinically appropriate, legally permitted, or supported by the information provided.
Some products offered through Maro are compounded medications. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration does not approve compounded drugs for safety, effectiveness, or quality, and compounded products are not therapeutically equivalent to, and are not substitutes for, any FDA-approved brand-name product. Compounded medications are prepared by a licensed pharmacy only when prescribed by a licensed provider following a consultation.
Maro is not an emergency service. Call 911 or seek in-person emergency care for any medical emergency.
Billing, subscriptions, and fulfillment
By placing an order or starting a subscription, you authorize Maro and its payment processors to charge the payment method you provide for the amounts shown at checkout, including applicable medication, provider-review, shipping, and tax charges.
Recurring charges. If you enroll in a subscription, it renews automatically and your payment method is charged on a recurring basis at the interval and price disclosed to you at checkout, until you cancel. Before you are charged, the recurring nature of the plan, the billing frequency, and the amount are disclosed on the checkout page, and you affirmatively consent to those terms when you place your order.
Price changes. If the price of a subscription changes, we will notify you in advance and, where required by law, obtain your consent or give you the opportunity to cancel before the new price takes effect.
Reminders. Where required by applicable state law, we will send renewal or price-change reminders to the email address on your account.
Orders may be fulfilled by independent licensed pharmacy partners. Shipping timelines are estimates only and can be affected by clinical review time, pharmacy processing, carrier performance, inventory, and weather.
Cancellations, pauses, and refunds
Cancellation. You may cancel or pause a subscription at any time through your online account or by contacting support at hello@marorx.com. Cancellation is available through the same medium you used to sign up; if you enrolled online, you can cancel online without calling or speaking to a representative. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not by itself refund charges already incurred, except as described below or as required by law.
What is refundable. If you cancel before a provider review has begun and before a pharmacy has begun filling your order, you will not be charged for that order, or you will be refunded for it. Once a provider review has been completed or a pharmacy has begun preparing an order, the provider-review fee and the medication charge for that cycle are generally non-refundable, because prescription and compounded medications cannot be re-dispensed once prepared.
Problems with an order. If an order arrives damaged, is incorrect, or does not arrive, contact hello@marorx.com and we will arrange a replacement or other appropriate remedy at no charge where appropriate. Billing errors and questions about a specific charge are also handled through support.
Pauses. You may pause an eligible subscription to delay your next order; a paused subscription does not renew until you resume it.
Shipping and returns
Orders are shipped within the United States only and are fulfilled by independent licensed pharmacies. Once a provider approves treatment, prescriptions are typically processed and shipped within a few business days, with delivery times that vary by location and by the medication ordered. All shipping and delivery timelines are estimates and are not guaranteed. You will receive a shipment confirmation with tracking when your order ships.
Because prescription and compounded medications cannot be re-dispensed once they leave the pharmacy, they cannot be returned or refunded, for safety and legal reasons. If an order arrives damaged, is incorrect, or does not arrive, contact hello@marorx.com and we will arrange a replacement at no charge where appropriate. Billing errors and questions about a specific charge are also handled through support.
Pharmacy and fulfillment
Clinical services are provided by independent, licensed healthcare professionals affiliated with Beluga Health, P.A., and prescriptions are dispensed and shipped by independent, licensed pharmacy partners. Maro does not operate a pharmacy and does not itself dispense medication.
We ship to all 50 U.S. states. Whether a specific treatment, formulation, or fulfillment option is available to you depends on your provider’s clinical judgment and on the telehealth and pharmacy rules of the state where you are located.
Jurisdictional notice
Maro’s services are offered only where independent providers are licensed to practice and where pharmacy partners are authorized to dispense. We ship to all 50 U.S. states; however, the availability of specific treatments is subject to applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and licensure and dispensing requirements, and a licensed provider must determine that treatment is clinically appropriate for you. The website and services are intended for users located in the United States.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the platform, impersonate another person, submit false medical information, reverse engineer or disrupt the service, attempt unauthorized access, scrape content at scale, or use the service in violation of law.
Intellectual property
The Maro name, logo, website, content, and design are owned by Maro Rx LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable license to access and use the website for its intended purpose. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content, or use our trademarks, without prior written permission.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maro disclaims implied warranties and will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Dispute resolution and arbitration
Please read this section carefully. You and Maro Rx LLC agree to first try to resolve any dispute informally by contacting hello@marorx.com. If a dispute is not resolved within 60 days, you and Maro agree that it will be resolved through binding individual arbitration rather than in court, except that either party may bring a qualifying claim in small-claims court.
Arbitration rules and venue. The arbitration will be administered by a recognized arbitration provider such as the American Arbitration Association (AAA) or JAMS under its consumer arbitration rules then in effect. The governing law and seat of arbitration is Texas, and any in-person hearing will take place in the county where you reside or, at your election, by videoconference.
Delegation. The arbitrator has exclusive authority to resolve any dispute about the interpretation, applicability, enforceability, or formation of this arbitration agreement, including whether a claim is subject to arbitration.
Individual basis; class waiver; mass arbitration. To the extent permitted by law, disputes will be resolved on an individual basis, and you and Maro waive the right to participate in a class action or in class-wide, consolidated, or representative arbitration. If 25 or more similar claims are asserted against Maro by or with the coordination of the same or coordinated counsel, the claims will be administered in batches of no more than 50 claimants at a time, with filing and arbitration fees allocated accordingly.
Jury-trial waiver. You and Maro waive any right to a jury trial and, except as provided above, waive the right to litigate disputes in court.
30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these terms by emailing hello@marorx.com with your name and a statement that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect any other part of these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in this section limits any right that cannot be waived under applicable law.
Changes and contact
We may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of the platform after updated Terms are posted means you accept the revised Terms, unless applicable law requires additional consent.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to hello@marorx.com.
